The views over the River Thames offers a beautiful backdrop for romantic photos and as we’re so centrally located with great transport links at North Greenwich and Cutty Sark, Enderby House is the perfect location for guests coming from all over.

A perfect wedding dinner

Having eaten at Enderby House several times we chose to book one of their private rooms for our daughters family wedding dinner. Tales, the manager, was extremely helpful, recommending wines and providing little extras for us.

The Octagon Room has been beautifully restored and was the perfect setting for our special occasion. Although we have often enjoyed the food there, we had never tried their private dining menu, but we were not disappointed. The choice was excellent (ordered a week in advance), and everything was prepared and presented to a high standard. We had a variety of different starters, mains and desserts, and everyone commented on how good the food was. If there was any criticism at all, it was only that one or two meals were not quite as hot as they could have been, but that was all. It was good value, and not at all over priced given the quality of the meal.

We had an excellent, dedicated member of staff looking after us all evening who was both charming and professional, finding the perfect balance between being friendly and attentive, and unobtrusive.

We had a wonderful celebration and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a private space for a special event.

If you’re still enjoying the wonderful chaos of being engaged, it’s time to start thinking about wedding planning. The team at Enderby House is on hand to make your special day as unique and as personal as your love story. Every wedding to host is very different and we still like to keep one eye on predicting wedding trends for the year ahead.

This year we are concentrating on sustainable weddings – being kinder to the environment is something that is now impossible to ignore and we are definitely on board. All of our fish is sustainably sourced and our meat and veggies are also ethically sourced. Pub weddings are also perfect for small, cosy and intimate affairs.
